How Do I Love Thee? A Love Poetry Workshop

This workshop invites poets and dreamers of all backgrounds to explore the many dimensions of love through poetry. Participants will read and discuss works that celebrate love in its diverse forms—romantic, familial, community, and beyond—while developing their own authentic voice. Through guided creative prompts, the class fosters a supportive space for creating poems from the heart. No prior writing experience is required; only an open heart and a willingness to express it in words.
Optional: After the class, there will be supplies on hand to create valentines from your poems!

She studied poetics and visual art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she earned her Master of Fine Arts. Henson’s practice bridges disciplines to evoke the rhythms of landscape and memory. Her poetry often mirrors the tactile qualities of her sculptural work, while her compositions draw inspiration from natural patterns and silence. She lives and works in the Clearwater Valley, Idaho, where the surrounding wilderness continues to shape her creative vision. She is a co-founder of River Arts. Learn more at thenson.net.
