Let’s Make Angels
This is a three-class soft sculpture workshop that will take place 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 7, 14, and 21.
Create your own charming angel doll in this hands-on sculpture class. Students will learn how to shape, build, and decorate a beautiful angel soft sculpture using simple sculpting techniques and creative embellishments.
In this class you will learn the basics of Soft Sculpture (in this case a stuffed “doll”). Two sizes will be offered: ~ Six inch and ~ Fourteen inch. The smaller one makes a great hanging tree ornament. The larger one can become a tree topper, table ornament, or just stuffed into the tree in those ‘bare’ spaces!
Whether you’re a beginner or have some art experience, this class is designed to guide you step by step as you bring your angel doll to life with personality, detail, and holiday-inspired flair. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a finished angel that makes a lovely keepsake or gift.

Instructor: Saragrace Knauf
I was born, second of three children, to a family of modest means. Both my parents (now deceased) worked in the theatrical arts. My father was a director, dramaturg, and actor. My mother was both an actor and director. I, wanting to avoid the academic life and poverty, steered as far from the theater as I could. I am retired from commercial nuclear power, where I worked as a mechanical engineer. I married my second husband when I was thirty-four. No kids, lots of animals. My hobbies include historic costuming, gardening (horsebackriding-not anymore!), an’ dollin’ (softsculpture and needlefelting).

You will also have an option to make a donation to support continued free arts programming for Kamiah and beyond. You can bypass this option by just hitting “Continue”.
