SUMMARY:Needle Felting: Easter Bunny -- FULL
DESCRIPTION:This class is full. \nSpringtime Bunny ~ 5.5 inches tall.  Design is by Rachel Austin\, owner of The Wishing Shed \nThis is an intermediate class\, you are expected to bring the following. \n\nFelting pad of your preference\nSharp pair of scissors\nWire cutters/pliers\nFinger Protection\nOptional tool: Helpful to speed things up\, but not absolutely necessary\n\n\n\nhttps://tinyurl.com/Clover8900FeltingTool\n\n\n\n\n\nThe $20 supplies fee includes PDF instructions and the following: \n\nWire\n36 gauge star needle\n38 twisted star needle\nPipe Cleaner\nCore Wool\nPainting Wool\nBody\nAccents\nEyes\n\nInstructor will provide: \nFabric glue\nTape Measurer \nNOTE: As the project will take more than two hours to complete\, we will gather again at 10 a.m. to noon Saturday\, March 21. \nAbout the Instructor: Saragrace Knauf \nI was born\, second of three children\, to a family of modest means. Both my parents worked in the theatrical arts. My father was a director\, dramaturg\, and actor. My mother was both an actor and director. I\, wanting to avoid academic life and poverty\, steered as far from the theater as I could. \nMy first bout with college had me headed towards a major in marine biology and philosophy. As I was working my way through college\, I quickly became aware that I was unable to handle both school and work. \nSo\, the short story is I quit and joined the US navy. I went into their nuclear power program back in 1979. I was one of 500 women who went into the program and also one of 50 who made it through. (Lest you think something great of me\, this was the same attrition rate as for men). \nAfter six years of that\, I went back to school and got a mechanical engineering degree and a minor in philosophy. I worked for 13 years in the commercial nuclear power field and spent some time back in grad school pursuing a masters in computational biology and a certificate in scholarly publishing and medieval and renaissance studies. \nI married my second husband when I was thirty-four. No kids\, lots of animals. \nMy hobbies include historic costuming\, gardening (horseback riding-not anymore!)\, an’ dollin’ (soft sculpture).

SUMMARY:Spring Poetry Workshop: Finding Voice in Bloom
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the season of renewal through the art of poetry. This inclusive workshop invites writers of all levels to explore language\, rhythm\, and imagery inspired by spring’s transformations. Participants will read and discuss contemporary poems\, experiment with new writing prompts\, and share their own work in a supportive\, creative space. Together\, the group will explore themes of growth\, change\, and connection to the natural world while developing tools to strengthen poetic voice and craft. A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago\, where she earned her MFA\, Henson’s practice bridges disciplines to evoke the rhythms of landscape and memory. Her poetry often mirrors the tactile qualities of her sculptural work\, while her compositions draw inspiration from natural patterns and silence. She lives and works in the Clearwater Valley\, Idaho\, where the surrounding wilderness continues to shape her creative vision. She is a co-founder of River Arts. \nFREE ~ Open to anyone with a heart for writing. \nPlease RSVP. If your plans change after registering\, please let us know if you cannot attend so we may offer the space to another.
